Planning Skills Webinar with the Scottish Land Commission

The Scottish Land Commission was established under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2016 and became fully operational on 1 April 2017. The Commission seeks to create a Scotland where everybody benefits from the ownership, management and the use of the nation’s land and buildings.

David Stewart, Senior Policy Officer, and Kathie Pollard, Policy Officer, will give an overview on the Commission’s work and focus in particular on the links between land reform and land use planning.

  • Land for housing and development- including the public interest led development approach and land value sharing;
  • An overview on the work on vacant and derelict land, and an overview of the proposed Compulsory Sales Orders mechanism;
