Community Engagement: How is it changing and how can we lead?

• The value of engaging all members of the community, including hard to reach groups such as young people, in planning and place.
• Relationship building and tools to use when engaging with communities.
• How planners can lead the way in engaging and building leadership within communities.

PAS and Scottish Young Planners Network present on effective engagement with local communities. The session asks participants to consider different methods of engagement and to visualise ways of engaging successfully - including the use of any personal experience. The session also includes a video on engagement and utilising the place standard tool to help young people engage effectively in planning and place.
